About Legolas
Name: Legolas  Greenleaf
Means: Greenleaf Sometimes used as a second name, ie: Legolas Greenleaf. Eyes: Blue

Race: Elvish. Either Silvan or Sindar.
Family Relations: Son of King Thranduil of Mirkwood, also known as the Elvenking of Mirkwood. Grandson of Oropher, Thranduil's father who was killed in the Last Great Alliance of Men and Elves. His mother's name is unknown and there are conflicting theories about her current state of being. Many different tales say many different things but the ultimate truth remains hidden from us, lost in the passage of time. Likewise, it is unsure whether Legolas had any brothers or sisters, for the records have been lost to us, but for lack of other evidence I tend to believe that Legolas was an only child.
Title: Prince, although when he is away from home his royalty is not much stressed and he does not seem to consider himself any different from anyone else.
Home: Mirkwood. Previously called Greenwood the Great until the evil of Sauron turned much of it dark and frightening.
Weapons of Choice: An Elvish long bow which he shoots with deadly precision, or two long Elven daggers.
Date of birth: Unknown
Date of death: He passed over the sea in the year 120 of the 4th Age

Tall, fair, and beautiful as any elf, he is the son of King Thranduil of Mirkwood. In the year 3019, Legolas journeyed to Rivendell to sit in on the council, and was chosen to represent the Elves in the Fellowship. In Lorien, Legolas and
Gimli became close friends, a friendship that lasted the rest of their lives. Legolas' keen sight and archery skills were his greatest asset to the Fellowship. After the Breaking of the Fellowship, Legolas went with Gimli and Aragorn in search of Merry and Pippin, and fought in the battle of Hornburg. He eventually went to Gondor, and fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields; while in Gondor, he had his first glimpse of the sea, and was overcome by a deep desire to sail from that moment on. After the War of the Ring, he journeyed with Gimli to visit the Glittering Caves and Fangorn Forest. In the Year 120 FO, after the death of Aragorn, Legolas sailed over the sea, taking Gimli the dwarf with him. The last of the Fellowship was now gone.

Legolas is performed by Orlando Bloom in Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings.
